Periodontics is an integral part of overall patient care. Treatment strategies that involve a team approach, aimed at solving a wide range of periodontal problems, can offer a more predictable outcome. This seminar will discuss the co-management of the periodontal patient as it applies to the treatment of periodontal disease and the treatment of various periodontal conditions. These treatment strategies will include: the co-management options of the various stages of periodontal disease, esthetic treatment strategies, the role of soft and hard tissue grafting in dental and implant situations and the use of newer treatment modalities.

Dr. Stephen Gangbar
|
| Stephen Gangbar, D.D.S., dip perio, graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry. Upon graduation, he did a general practice residency at Health Sciences Centre Hospital, the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, British Columbia. Returning to Toronto in 1986, Dr. Gangbar practiced general dentistry for one year before returning to the University of Toronto for graduate studies. In 1989, Dr. Gangbar received his specialty certification in Periodontics and began practicing with Periodontal Associates. He is also on staff at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto in the Graduate Clinic as a Clinical Instructor in Periodontics. He is a Director of the PA Study Club and has lectured to many dental groups. Dr. Gangbar is also a member of the Ontario Dental Association, the Ontario Society of Periodontists, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Academy of Periodontology and many other national and international dental societies. |
